Neighbourhood Watch

A few weeks ago, while taking Mollie out for her evening constitutional, I was amazed to see a tiny owl sitting in the tree outside my apartment building. Last night, as I was approaching my front door, I saw it again, sitting on the fencepost barely three feet away. We looked at each other for a while - I told it how beautiful it was while it stared back with its big yellow eyes. It then showed off by swivelling its head back and forth. When it got tired of spending time with me, it flew up into the trees - I then realized there was a second owl in the tree. A couple! Now I'm having fanciful thoughts that they might have a nest nearby.
